Education is one of the best ways out of poverty. Men and women receive education and job training through our long-term shelter programs. Over 20,000 hours of adult education and job training are provided each year – in addition to vocational certification courses, parenting instruction, life-skills classes and Bible teaching.

Around 500 children who are at-risk in our community receive Christ-centered education at our K4-12th grade school, Cross Trainers Academy, which is located in the Lindsay Heights neighborhood of Milwaukee. Here, students are groomed for success and leadership through strong academics, character development and career preparedness.

Through Christian teaching, we help men, women and children continue the transition from surviving their circumstances to flourishing in spite of them.

“The Milwaukee Rescue Mission is where I was first introduced to Christ and it changed my life. Now, I want my daughters to grow up to be productive citizens and godly young women. I believe Cross Trainers Academy is giving them a good start toward that goal.”
