CROSS TRAINERS ACADEMY (CTA) A private Christian school owned and operated by the Milwaukee Rescue Mission.


A Cross Trainers Academy teacher’s role is first and foremost a follower of Jesus Christ and believes in every students potential to learn.  This role is responsible for developing pathways of learning for all students through the use of different materials, team collaboration and parent involvement.  This person is innovative, teachable and knowledgeable about what motivates a scholar to grow.

Responsibilities include the provision of detailed lesson plans in the CTA school format that focuses on common core standards, the enforcement of school-wide core values with an emphasis on academic development and Christ-like characteristics, communicating and collaborating with parents and staff to ensure students make academic and social progress.  Teachers must maintain a neat and organized classroom environment, participate in scheduled meetings, and fill in as scheduled for additional duties and roles.

Bachelor’s degree and current DPI license are required.  Proven and strong instructional, classroom management, leadership, and communication skills along with competency in Microsoft Office and web-based programs are necessary.  Previous experience in an urban teaching environment preferred.
