Child Enrichment Center Employment Opportunities


The Milwaukee Rescue Mission is looking to hire a full-time individual to manage our Child Enrichment Center (licensed daycare), located at 1530 W Center Street, Milwaukee, WI  53206.  This individual would ensure adherence with DCF 251 Wisconsin Administrative Code, maintain a complete understanding of licensing rules found in the Wisconsin Administrative Code as well as regular supplemental updates, conduct regular monitoring and training of staff to ensure daily adherence to licensing rules, provide regular updating of information with DCF as required by rules, meet with DCF Licensing Specialist during announced and unannounced visits and provide immediate response to violations noted during visits and submission of corrective action plan to DCF Licensing Specialist.

Have previous experience working with the CACFP (Child and Adult Care Food Program.  This individual should also have experience and a complete understanding of the YoungStar compliance and regulations. 

Previous experience with staff management in a child care setting is required.  This individual would be responsible for hiring, annual reviews, performance improvements, monitoring staff registry levels, planning and conducting staff and volunteer training, maintaining staff records according to DCF standards and updating registry, certificate, CAN training and CEU requirements. 

This individual must be proficient with Microsoft office suite, have excellent communication and organizational skills.  A Bachelor's Degree is preferred with 5+ years of experience in a licensed daycare management position. 

The Milwaukee Rescue Mission Child Enrichment Center is seeking dedicated, flexible and enthusiastic teachers to join our team. The Milwaukee Rescue Mission Child Enrichment Center opened at 1530 W. Center Street in September, 2015. We are growing and seeking qualified, Christian candidates to join our team. Teachers are responsible for planning and implementing lesson plans, caring for children, maintaining a clean and safe classroom, progress monitoring, state and center required documentation and communication with parents. Candidates must have a level 9 or higher registry certificate, be qualified per certificate to be a lead teacher, and have a minimum of 6 months experience as a lead teacher. The Milwaukee Rescue Mission is a Christian organization seeking Christians that meet our employment qualifications.  A full benefit package is offered with this position.

The Milwaukee Rescue Mission Child Enrichment Center has part-time positions available (roughly 6:30 a.m. – 9:30 a.m. daily and 2:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.).  Assistant teachers are responsible for assisting the classroom teacher in implementing lesson plans, classroom management, maintaining an orderly classroom and communicating with parents and children.  Applicants must be 18 years or older and have satisfactorily completed Introduction to the Child Care Profession or another DCF approved course in early childhood education.  Experience in child care is preferred.  Compensation is based on education and experience.
